Make your own Unity Candle:
Items Needed:
1 10" Pillar Candle and holder.
2 12" Taper Candles.
1 Roll of Wire-Edged Tulle Ribbon of your color Choice.
6 Decorative Gold or Silver Wedding Rings
Regular Tacky Glue and Hot Glue Gun
1. Take an invitation from your wedding and cut one out
(an oval cut around the invitation looks nice on the candle). Using a thin layer
of regular glue, apply it to the candle. Let dry for a little while. If it is
off center as you apply it, you can straighten it up as soon as you put it on.
Make sure that your paper doesn't have any kinks in it, smooth it out.
2. Make a bow around the base of both taper candles like you are tying a shoe.
Try to get both loops even. Add the rings by splitting apart at the opening and
closing over the tulle ribbon in the center of the bow.
3. Using the hot glue apply the edging you chose around the invitation a little
section at a time. Once that is done, add the tulle bow around the base of the
candle. Add your rings. All done and we're sure you saved some money.

Make your own Flower Girl Basket:
Items Needed:
1 Small Basket of your color choice.
2-12" vines of flowers (available at most of your retail
department and craft stores)
1 roll of wire-edged tulle ribbon.
Hot glue gun
1. Wrap the tulle ribbon around the handle of the basket
from one edge to the other. Glue each end into place (towards the inside of the
basket).
2. Using the hot glue gun, glue one of the vines (one vine at a time around the
outer edge of the basket). You can find the flowers at most of your craft
departments at retail stores or any specialty craft store. The vines that we
used was approximately 12" long.
3. Make a simple bow for the outer edges of the handle of the basket. This can
be a simple bow, you don't really need a degree in bow making. A simple one can
be made like tying your shoe....if it's made with the tulle bow, it looks really
elegant anyway.

Make your own Ring Bearer Pillow:
Items Needed:
1 yard of white satin fabric
1 yard of edging material (1 1/2 yds if it is going to be
sewed into the pillow)
poly-fil filling.
2-6" fabric ribbon
Fabric or Paint Marker.
1. Take your fabric and fold in half, right sides of
fabric facing each other. Take it and fold it in half again. Using the side that
has the fold cut out the design you desire so that you are cutting both halves
of the pillow at a time.
2. If you are using a ruffled edge to your pillow you will need to insert it
into the edges of your pillow before sewing together. Sew the pillow together
leaving approx. 2" open to flip the pillow.
3. Cut little V notches in all the curves around the pillow. Flip it inside out.
Fill with Poly-fil stuffing. Slip Stitch opening closed.
4. Hand sew the ribbons and any other embellishments you want on the front of
the pillow. Glue trim around the outside edge.
5. Using the paint marker, write your names and wedding date.
6. Using only a bow, tie the rings to the pillow. Don't make a knot or you'll
slow down the ceremony trying to get the rings off!

Easy Elegant
Centerpieces
Supplies Needed:
10 1/2" Margarita or Martini Glasses (one per table) or 11" Wine Glass -
Available at most craft stores
One Box Rose Pedals - White works fine
Double Sided Tape - 1/4" - 1/2" - We used scotch brand
Bead Embellishment - 36" (one yard) will do one Margarita or Martini Glass -
will do two wine glasses - Color to match your theme. Can be found at some
department stores or craft stores by the yard or prepackaged.
One floating candle per wine glass or two for the margarita or martini glass -
We used the rose candles but they will not last long enough for your entire
reception. We got at the most three hours burning time. Look for the
floating votive candles that will last at least 5 - 6 hours.
Flower or bow for the base of glass
1. Remove the label from the glass (this could be the
hardest part of the project).
2. Add double sided tape along the upper edge of the glass. Tape the bead
embellishments on.
3. Attach the base decoration. The flowers have wire so they can simply be wound
around the bottom. If you choose tulle, it is easy to make a bow. Just tie it
around and make a few small bows like tying your shoe-try to get the loops even.
Fluff out the tulle.
4. At your reception site, add a little food coloring to the water to fill your
glasses - or leave it clear if you are going with a white center - Add the rose
pedals - 5 or so with the wine glasses - 12 or more with the margarita or
martini glass. (Don't worry - these will sink to the bottom of the glass, but
they will float back to the top after a little bit). The white rose pedals will
take on the color of the food coloring in the water.
5. Add your floating candles and you're done! For a little added elegance,
scatter a few rose pedals on the table surrounding the centerpiece!
Buying tip -- If you have access to a craft store that gives weekly coupons in
the paper - clip them out and buy one glass a week.....40% off makes a
difference!
